To minimize waste when students move out of their Residential Colleges during the summer, a recycling programme “Move Out Freecycling Campaign” would be put in place by our Green Ambassadors. We will team up with NGOs to ensure useful items can reach those in need in the community.

You can take a part by simply giving away unwanted but usable items and picking up any items that you need. The campaign will consist of two phrases with details as follows:

Period: 27 – 31, May 2020

Time: 12:00nn – 2:00pm, 8:00pm – 10:00pm

Venue: Communal Hall, G/F, Patrick S C Poon Patrick S C Poon Amity College & Fung Yiu King Evergreen College

During the above period, you can simply give away the recyclable items , including books, stationery, kitchenware (excluding seasoning), small-sized electrical appliances, clothing (excluding underwears) and bags. Please make sure the items your recyclables are clean and in good condition There will be Green Ambassadors to guide you for sorting the wanted items. At the same time, you can pick up things you do need during the collection period.

If you complete the move out procedures beyond the above period and wish to donate your unwanted and usable items (excluding beddings), please simply tell us when you move out. Your support in this Campaign will truly make the campus more environmentally friendly and your little effort in pre-sorting the donated items from your trash will help make the Campaign a big success!
